Lindsey Vonn Displays a Rapid Recovery as She Returns to Public Places

Lindsey Vonn is officially back in the public eye after the devastating incident at the Winter Olympics on February 8. The alpine skiing legend appeared on CBS Mornings following multiple surgeries for a broken leg. Vonn confirmed she remains focused on physical healing. She told fans she expects to return to the slopes eventually.

After the devastating incident at the Winter Olympics on February 8, American alpine ski racer Lindsey Vonn underwent multiple surgeries for her broken leg. Since then, she has been in her recovery phase and has recently been seen in public.

On May 2, Vonn dropped a carousel of photos and videos on her Instagram handle, captioning, “Smiling is everything. I’m just so happy to be around people again. 😁🥰💃🏼”

The athlete was wearing a bright red blazer and pointed shoes, but unfortunately, she was walking with a crutch. The photos and video were taken during Vonn's interview with CBS Mornings.

In fact, CBS Mornings also shared a post about the interview on April 30. The post reads, “I’m still focused on the physical healing, and I haven’t even really gotten to the mental healing.” After a brutal crash at the Olympics that nearly caused her to lose her leg, @lindseyvonn is on the path to recovery.

The post further continues, “Vonn, one of the greatest skiers of all time, shares about where she is in her recovery journey and what’s next in her career: "You’ll see me skiing one way or another."

Though it was her first public appearance, it was not her first on television after the crash. She recently interviewed the Today Show host, Craig Melvin. She posted the interview clip on her social media handle on April 7.

However, she was seen publicly. She is still in her recovery period and pushing herself hard to get back on track.

The post reads, “Definitely some hard times, but still thankful… still working hard. The only goal is to get healthy. One day at a time.” She ended her workout session by standing on her feet, applying equal pressure to each leg to assess her recovery level.

Not only this, but Vonn has also started working on her strength. According to one of her Instagram posts on March 21, she was seen doing pull-ups. She titled the video, “First set of pull-ups post surgery… slowly getting there!”

Her determination, willpower, and hard work are paying off slowly, and all her fans are eagerly waiting to see her on the slope again.
