Lindsey Vonn shares glimpses of her training and gym life during her recovery process
One of the most successful Olympic skiers in history, Lindsey Vonn is famous for her relentless work ethic. She recently shared updates with her fans on her Instagram account, highlighting her recovery process after a partial knee replacement in April 2024.
Her Instagram post, shared on June 29, 2026, highlights her time in beautiful France, where she is working out and relaxing with friends.
Vonn’s post, captioned “J’adore 🇫🇷❤️,” (translated to " I Love FR), quickly gained thousands of likes and comments from fans across the globe.
She shared pictures and videos of herself having fun and also training at the gym.
This comes months after Vonn suffered an ACL tear on January 30, 2026, and fractured the tibial plateau in her right knee after an unfortunate crash on February 8, 2026.
Typically, ACL recovery takes anywhere between eight and twelve months, with the recovery generally happening in stages. Moreover, tibia fractures take around four months to fully heal, with a lengthy recovery process following it.
Soon after her surgery, Vonn began physical therapy to restore knee mobility and reduce any form of swelling, and it has yielded results.
Now, she is taking her recovery to the next level while having fun in France.
From knee replacement to World Cup return: Lindsey Vonn’s inspiring comeback journey
Five years after retiring in 2019, Vonn made an incredible return to once again rejoin the U.S. Ski team in 2025.
Her career saw a massive upward trajectory, as she saw her first World Cup victory in 2004. She also won eight World Championship medals and enjoyed a whopping 137 World Cup podium finishes.
That’s not all: Vonn claimed the first-ever Olympic downhill gold medal for an American woman in the 2010 Winter Games in Vancouver. She took home an Olympic bronze in super-G during the 2010 Olympics. Furthermore, she won a downhill bronze during the 2018 Winter Olympics held in PyeongChang.
As per US Ski & Snowboard, Lindsey Vonn's 2025–2026 comeback season with the U.S. Ski Team was historic. She became the oldest woman (41) to get a dominant downhill victory. Apart from that, she had multiple podium finishes across speed events
Now, as she recovers from her injuries, it remains to be seen if she will join the team again and break her own record.
