‘Mama Made Me’: A New ‘Built Different’ Drop from Ronnie Coleman

Ronnie Coleman, the 8-time Mr. Olympia, released Built Different, a 14-track album, featuring nods to training references, iconic moments, and phrases his fans have been using for years.

Recently, the bodybuilding legend added another music video to the list and dedicated it to his mother.

He posted a picture of himself with his mother, playing the track in the background, and captioned it, “Mama Made Me”.

He added, “Yeah, Buddy, I just dropped the fourth music video to my workout album, Ronnie Coleman “Built Different” on my YouTube Channel! This one is very special to me and a dedication to my amazing mother who made me the man I am today! 🎵 Built Different - Mama Made Me”.

Coleman, who is famous for his genetics, once revealed his secret by crediting his mother, Jessie Benton, with “This is where I got my genetics from. Right here, right here. This is why I am the winner”.

To back this claim, in 2013, Muscle Development tested Coleman. The results revealed the presence of UCP2 and ACTN3 in his genetics. These genes are beneficial in resistance to damage.

Ronnie's love for his mother was seen in 2021 Arnold Classic, where the legend broke down by remembering his mother, who died in 2017 due to pancreatic cancer, while receiving a Lifetime Achievement award.

While Ronnie has credited his mother with his Built Different album, he also revealed his family’s support earlier.

Ronnie Coleman revealed how his family helped him

Ronnie has always been open to his family's support in his journey.

During an interview with Generation Iron, he was asked if it was easy for him to be a professional bodybuilder and maintain his family.

In response, Coleman said, “I think the reason why is my family supported me like 100%.... I mean, they were there, you know, doing everything for me. They helped clean my house, clean my cars”.

He also added, “My mom was cooking all my food. My sister was helping me with, you know, fan stuff”.

He also mentioned his sister, who helped him connect to his fans and communicate with the merchandise. Their presence in all of his shows was something he was thankful for.
