Manny Pacquiao, 47, continues training despite no confirmation of a Floyd Mayweather rematch

The Filipino boxer and former senator, Manny Pacquiao, was spotted undergoing intense training to face American boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Although there has been no confirmation of the match so far, Pacquiao doesn’t want to give his rival any room to dominate in the ring, as the rival is returning to the ring after eight years.

On May 22, Pacquiao posted a video on his Instagram, captioning it “Hard work never stops! 🔥.” In the video, he was seen doing boxing training, which includes:

  • Punching practie
  • Sparring drills
  • Pad work
  • Heavy bag training
  • Speed bag training

Both Pac-Man and Money previously faced each other 10 years ago, in 2015, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Nevada, where Mayweather won. But this time, Pacquiao is ready to show his dominance.

According to Yahoo Sports, the match was initially set for September 19 at Las Vegas’ Sphere, then later moved to September 25 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. But now, Mayweather seems to have a new clash during that time.

CSI Sports reported that the Mike Tyson vs. Mayweather bout was moved to the fall of 2026. Because the fight between Tyson and “The Ring lightweight champion” has been rescheduled for this autumn, it also puts the boxing match “Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Manny Pacquiao II” into jeopardy.

However, Pac-Man focuses on training himself for the future.

Manny Pacquiao’s intense training

At 47, the former senator of the Philippines enjoys intense training sessions to stay fit and healthy. He regularly shares his training videos on his social media handle to motivate people.

On March 7, Pacquiao posted a video on Instagram, captioning it “Relax lang sa.” In the video, he was seen indulging in

  • Pad work
  • Foot work
  • Punching

In another video he shared on March 26 on his social media, PacMan was seen doing exercises like:

  • Playing basketball on a court
  • Running
  • Rope skipping
  • Punching practice

This combination of intense boxing training, running, and basketball helps the 47-year-old stay active and fight-ready.

Now it will be interesting to see who will win and take the trophy home once the fight is announced.
