Martha Stewart is 84 years old? Now that's one beauty secret we need to know!
The media personality sat down for the Lipstick on the Rim podcast and revealed the secrets to her eternal beauty. And unsurprisingly, no magic potions or artificial means were used. The dedicated regime she has followed throughout the years has kept her active and healthy at an age when most are well into retirement.
Commenting on her active professional life even at this age, she said, “I have friends now, unfortunately, and I feel very bad for them; they have stopped changing. The people I admire most are what they’re calling now ‘super agers’ who are not retiring, who continue doing good things, who continue to evolve… that’s what I’m going after.”
Martha Stewart's morning routine
Martha's day begins at 4:00 am on her farm, with a homemade green juice, a New York Times crossword puzzle, and Pilates or weight training.
While speaking to Women's Health magazine, she revealed her workout routine, and it is enough to give anyone one-third of her age a tough competition. She has a cup of cappuccino before heading to the gym, and her sessions last for 45 minutes.
Monday/Wednesday/Friday:
- Pilates
Tuesday/Thursday:
- Weight training
- Cardio
She also loves yoga, but doesn't follow it as religiously as her other training techniques. The cooking mogul also enjoys gardening, a habit she learnt from her father. She has a greenhouse and a vegetable garden on her farm where she grows all kinds of vegetables, shrubs, and crops.
Once she is done with her physical and mental training, it's time to nourish herself with a healthy breakfast, which includes homemade eggs or yoghurt. (Perks of living on a farm).
Her green juice is made of spinach, cucumbers, parsley, celery, ginger, mint, and half an orange with peel. She also loves to eat salads and soups, and pomegranate seeds for dessert.
What do you think of Martha Stewart's regimen? Would you follow it?
