Mike O’Hearn Reshares the Moment When He Took Body Kicks From UFC Title Contender Ian Garry
Mike O'Hearn of the Year regularly shares his fitness videos with his 3.9 million Instagram followers. The 57-year-old bodybuilder recently shared old footage of a UFC title contender landing body kicks on him.
In the video, he can be seen with Conor McGregor's protégé, Ian Garry, which was filmed a few years ago in 2023.
On June 6, O’Hearn shared an Instagram post showing the 2 squaring off against each other. During that time, the UFC star landed a kick on O’Hearn.
There is no doubt that Garry is a hard hitter. When the Instagram video was originally posted, he earned a spectacular win against Daniel Rodriguez on May 13, 2023, at UFC on ABC 4. At that match, Garry delivered a stunning opening-round knockout.

Praising the UFC star, O’Hearn also added, “The great Ian Machado Garry @iangarry. Professional MMA record: 17 wins, 1 loss.
- UFC ranking: #1 welterweight contender according to the UFC rankings.
- Only loss: A competitive five-round decision against Shavkat Rakhmonov in December 2024.”
Although O’Hearn shared Garry's record, which only shows how powerful the UFC star is, the bodybuilder himself is no less fit and strong. At 57 years old, he trains daily and maintains his strength through a weekly workout routine.
Mike O’Hearn’s Workout Routine
According to Total Share, O'Hearn's interest in working out began in his childhood. He was the youngest child and always wanted to be strong among his brothers.
At that time, he started watching Bruce Lee movies and learned some moves.
The article also said, “He also struggled in school as a dyslexic, and that resulted in a lot of b*******. Again, this gave him the drive to get stronger and stand up to older kids.”
Speaking about his workout approach, O'Hearn targets every muscle group on specific days of the week, which include:
- Monday: abs/chest
- Tuesday: legs
- Wednesday: shoulders/abs
- Thursday: arms
- Friday: abs/back
- Saturday and Sunday: rest and recovery.
