A wave of nostalgia swept through Monica Brant as Milos Sarcev revisited a chapter from 30 years ago.

On February 12, former bodybuilder Milos Sarcev took a trip down memory lane as he posted a photo of himself and IFBB pro figure competitor Monica Brant on Instagram.

The picture featured the cover photo of two bodybuilding legends from the 2000 issue of the iconic MuscleMag International magazine. The high-contract photos perfectly captured the essence of the early 2000s fitness magazines. In his caption, Sarcev joked that the picture had some elements of photoshopping even 30 years ago.

He tagged both Brant and the original photographer, Alex Ardenti, on the photo, and Brant paid tribute to the legendary bodybuilder with the sweetest reply.

"These were the days! What an honor to be featured on numerous covers with you, my Legendary friend!!! Thanks for sharing!"

Brant, 55, first appeared on the fitness scene in the early 90s and quickly rose to become one of the most decorated athletes in the fitness industry. In 1994, she appeared in the Muscle & Fitness magazine and won her first and only IFBB Fitness Olympia in 1998.

She also won the WBFF World Figure Championship twice in 2010 and 2013. Since retiring from professional bodybuilding, she has remained active as a fitness coach and trainer.

Milos Sarcev keeps dropping golden moments from the 'Golden Era ' of bodybuilding on his Instagram page all the time. Just a week earlier, he uploaded his 'Magic Shot' captured by legendary photographer Chris Lund for Flex magazine.

It is an upside-down photo of Sarcev posing with dumbbells in each hand, supposedly performing a dumbbell chest press. The caption paid tribute to bodybuilding photographer Chris Lund, who had passed away, and read:

"MAGIC SHOT" of Chris Lund. The best bodybuilding photographer, working for @flexmagazine during the 'Golden Era.' We miss him all greatly."

He later commented on the photo, saying that in today's generation, such bodybuilding photoshoots aren't prevalent anymore and should be reintroduced.

"History repeats itself...and I am just waiting when will someone start shooting these kinds of photos again!"
