Victor Martinez, the bodybuilding legend, recently opened up about the uncomfortable and often bizarre attention bodybuilders and people with good physiques receive from their fans. During a Generation Iron podcast on May 21, the retired Dominican-American bodybuilder shared a strange story he once encountered.

So, in response to a fan who asked Martinez about the weirdest thing he experienced as a bodybuilding competitor, he answered,

“The weirdest is probably swingers… ‘hey man, my wife really loves you a lot.’ Yeah, I love her too. ‘Naw man, she really, really loves you.”

Although the moment Martinez revealed this was the funniest, it also reminds us that fans aren't always drawn to bodybuilders' fitness and lifestyle. Sometimes, stories like this make a bodybuilder's life very unusual.

This is not the first time such unusual fan moments have shocked bodybuilders. There are many other instances, though not as intense as Martinez's, that were not too comfortable for them.

Bodybuilders Unusual Experience Due to Fan Moments

In the 2000s, when Ronnie Coleman was at his peak, he traveled to South Korea, stunning locals with his 300-lb muscle mass.

What shocked him was that fans continuously filmed and photographed him and tried to touch his arms to verify whether those muscles were real.

There are bodybuilders and strongmen, such as Eddie Hall, who have admitted to facing bizarre nights out due to fans.

He once revealed situations in which fans approached him and asked to arm-wrestle.

Stories like this highlight that, behind the praise and admiration, bodybuilders have to face uncomfortable and bizarre fan interactions.
