NFL Star Blake Corum shares balance training session
Los Angeles Rams running back Blake Corum's offseason regimen reveals a player obsessed with one thing: getting better. And to achieve this, he is working on his balance and coordination with great intensity and dedication.
The NFL’s Instagram account posted a high-intensity workout video of the RB this offseason, and the footage reveals a player with a very specific agenda heading into 2026. The session is not a casual gym clip, but a structured series of exercises built around balance and explosiveness.
“@blake_corum24’s balance is insane,” stated the caption.
The workout includes reactive box and Bosu ball drills where Corum responds to verbal cues. The coach calls out the direction, and he steps and jumps onto different surfaces on command to train reaction time and ankle stability.
After that, he moves to resisted high-knee sprints in place and lateral bounds into linear sprints around cones. The RB also trained explosive broad jumps against resistance. Each drill mimics something that happens in a real NFL game: a cut, a burst through a gap, a change of direction that has to happen in a fraction of a second without the luxury of thinking about it first.
For a running back, one misstep costs yards. Corum's single-leg work trains the ankle stability that separates a 100-yard day from injury.
Corum is building the kind of functional durability that holds up across a full 17-game schedule for the upcoming season.
Coach Mike Hart gives his take on Corum's diet
Blake Corum treats his body like a machine. And the fuel going in reflects exactly what he expects to get out.
As per The Wolverine: Michigan Football and Basketball on YouTube back in 2021, former RB coach for the Michigan Wolverines, Mike Hart, gave his take on Corum and the disciplined diet he follows.
“Better than anyone, what does he do that stands out for me that doesn't need junk food or stuff I don't know it's just healthy stuff i don't know why he does it but no,” said Hart. “Honestly, he's a kid who knows what he's eating every day, you know; he knows how to hydrate every day; he's just he's on top of his body.”
The stakes have now gone up as he plays in the NFL. The RB knows what it takes to reach the next level, and he is leaving no stone unturned to be the best he can for the upcoming season.
