NFL Star Davante Adams reps 110-pound dumbbells with impressive ease
Football or not, Davante Adams never fails to prove why he is one of the most dangerous receivers in the league. Although he got a hamstring injury that cost him a game late in the year, he returned for the postseason.
In his recent clip shared by the NFL's official account, credited to @taeadams, he shows no signs of injury, captioned in a sarcastic manner:
"light work" with a laughing-crying emoji.
In the Instagram video, he is seen knocking out incline dumbbell presses with a pair of 110-pound weights with relative ease.
Adams is a 6’1” wide receiver with a huge wingspan. He also doesn’t train like this year-round. The offseason is the one opportunity in the NFL calendar to build strength.

Adams now sits among the top ten players in NFL history for career postseason receiving touchdowns. In 2025, he caught 60 passes for 789 yards, which pretty much explains the chest press.
It was a red zone-heavy role that leaned on his ability to win physical, contested-catch situations against bigger, stronger defenders, exactly the kind of strength on display in the viral clip.
There were rumors that Adams would be traded during the offseason, but he stayed, and coach Sean McVay said the team is glad to have him back.
Davante Adams once relied on fasted cardio to stay lean and fast
Before Davante Adams tossed around 110-pound dumbbells, he was working on his physique with a different mindset, as he had to lose some pounds back then.
Reportedly, Adams entered the league weighing way more than he should have been back in 2014. He told GQ in 2022 that being a heavier player did him little good.
After he cut that weight down, his game took off, and he started relying on fasted cardio as a go-to tool, which helped him stay light on his feet.
"If it's a really early workout, I may decide I want to do some fasted cardio. So I'll get in there and run around a little bit before I do my breakfast," Adams said. "Usually, I'll start off my day with that workout."
The method helped him drop down to 202 pounds from 215 pounds by his eighth season.
Looking at where Adams is now, still producing at an elite level in his 30s and showing off serious strength in the weight room, it is clear his approach to conditioning has evolved alongside his career.
Do you think he will have a career high this season?
