95-Year-Old Woman Finishes 50m Sprint As Internet Applauds ‘Grandma Anne.’
While most lose their mobility in their 90s, a 95-year-old lady named Anne White is challenging nature's laws by competing in sprint races and even finishing them.
On February 28, TheGirlGoneStrong shared an Instagram reel featuring a video of 'Grandma Anne' sprinting on the track to complete her 50m course. Besides displaying her stunning vitality even at 95, the caption to the post spoke volumes about her resilience. It revealed that she "broke her hip" last year.
After finishing the race, White said, “Oh, it was fun, but I did my best. My goal was to finish upright. I didn’t want to fall, but this is so exciting for an old grandma. I’m so happy. I hope I’m proud. Thank you, Jesus, for giving me this strength. I think God had my back.”
However, this wasn't White's comeback race after breaking her hip. She returned to the track in 2025 itself and also earned a bronze medal in the 50m dash at the 2025 National Senior Games.
When asked about her secret, Grandma Anne said, “Be active, I don’t consider myself. I don’t consider myself a role model. I’m learning more from my family every day than I feel I'm leaving to them.”
Understandably, this feat was special to her, and it also garnered a massive number of eyeballs, with several wholesome remarks.
Fans React To Anne White Completing Her 50m Sprint
The comments section of the post went gaga over White sprinting a full 50m at 95. One of the netizens wrote, “Go Anne!!! Love it!!! Inspiring.”
Furthermore, one of the fans took to the comment section to express, “This is how you turn a setback into a comeback.” Turning your setback into strength in your 90s is not everyone’s cup of tea."
Another fan expressed, “Oh my gosh, I love this so freaking much! Life is what you make it! It doesn’t matter how old you are. Just get out and be your best.”
Last but not least, a fan added, “We love Grandma Anne! Thank you for amplifying her amazing example!”
