Two days ago, former 8x Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman took to Instagram to share a photo of himself flexing alongside fitness influencer and longtime friend Jesse James West. However, what caught many off guard was the caption.

“A little posing practice with my son @jessejameswest at the Original MetroFlex Gym!!,” Coleman captioned the post. So why did Coleman call the influencer his son?

Well, first of all, the image dates back to 2023, when the two trained together. Secondly, Coleman first publicly referred to West as his son way back in 2022.

During a meet-and-greet, James asked Coleman: "How does it feel to officially be my father?" and the former Mr. Olympia replied with his signature phrase, "Yeah Buddy."

Coleman even captioned the video, "Yeah buddy... Meet my son."

Since then, James has referred to Coleman as a fatherly figure in his videos and Instagram posts, “Father and son duo back at it again. Legendary chest workout went down in THE Ronnie Coleman Metroflex Gym. The energy of this place was something I’ll never forget,” James said in an Instagram post from 2023.

However, not everyone was aware, and Coleman's post left the bodybuilding community with questions.

One fan expressed that Jesse James West might have just cracked the code with Ronnie Coleman and is already one of the best fitness influencers. “You know you made it when you have an inside joke with Ronnie Coleman,” wrote the fan.

Furthermore, one fan was confused, asking, “Is he really your son???” While the Jersey-bron fitness influencer is not Coleman's son, the former Mr. Olympia has eight daughters.

Jamilleah and Valencia are Coleman's two girls from his first marriage. He also has four daughters with his current wife, Susan Williamson, and two stepdaughters.

Meanwhile, another fan jokingly asserted, “Bro is still bigger than him.” Last but not least, more appreciation came for Jesse: "What a crazy experience for Jesse, that’s so cool."
