Rita Ora replaced cardio with strength training after turning 30, the workout she currently follows

The British singer and songwriter Rita Ora knew that after 30, the workout requirements of an individual change. As a result, her focus shifted to building strength and longevity after she crossed the mark. Let’s explore the fitness tricks she focuses on in detail.

On March 10, Women’s Health UK and Just As Well released a YouTube video in which Ora candidly discussed her fitness, diet, supplements, and sleep. She recalls the time when she turned 30 and said, “I noticed that... my consistency on stage was starting to get weaker, and I was just thinking, Oh, that's weird.”

This resonated with her, and she then began focusing on her diet and cardio.

But now, as she grew older, her focus has changed. Now she really wanted to be strong and said, “I don't want to sort of not be able to like bend down and pick up a pencil or something.”

The I Will Never Let You Down singer remembered her initial days of working out and said, “My weights were always about 1 to 3 kg with Pilates and ankle weights and trying to get my body in the best shape possible.”

However, these days, as she has started lifting heavy, her weight typically ranges between “10 to 15 kg.” Though the singer has shifted her focus toward building strength, she really didn’t quit cardio. She still does 30 minutes on an incline treadmill at 3.5 speed.

So, Ora's fitness routine includes:

  • Heated sculpted hit classes (3-4 times a week)
  • Inclined treadmill
  • Weight training

Apart from physical training, the singer also likes to start her morning off on a healthy note.

Rita Ora’s morning routine and breakfast

Rita Ora prefers to kick-start her day with some healthy habits, which include:

  • A super green powder mixed with water
  • Lukewarm water with lemon
  • Coffee (with collagen and rose water)

After that, she either has breakfast or lunch, depending on her fasting method. She typically fasts for 12 or 16 hours and then eats a cup of broth (chicken or beef).

In addition, Ora prefers a high-fiber diet and avoids starchy foods. She also eats protein bars. The singer prefers a well-balanced diet with the right amount of protein, healthy fats, fiber, and other micronutrients. This healthy dietary habit fuels her busy schedule and training sessions.

She also prioritizes sleep, typically getting good sleep on 6 days a week and taking one day off, with a later dinner and time to enjoy it with friends.

Ora’s perfect concoction of training, a balanced diet, and sleep helps her maintain steady energy to fuel her busy lifestyle.
