Given that most resort to a sedentary lifestyle after becoming seniors, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Robert F. Kennedy Jr. are special as they continue showing up at the gym. And the duo highlighted this to celebrate Senior's Day well before the event's actual date.

On May 14, the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services shared an Instagram post featuring his gym selfie with Schwarzenegger at the coveted Gold's Gym in Venice, Los Angeles. But while both were snapped with smiling faces, the caption to RFK Jr.'s post presented an anomaly.

The 72-year-old captioned the snap, "Senior's Day at Gold's in Venice." However, a look at the USA's special dates calendar says that the country actually celebrates Senior's Day on August 21.

The thing common about these over-70-year-olds is that they still prioritize training. Schwarzenegger has long been an advocate of resistance training, while RFK Jr. has a comparatively lean, athletic physique that looks remarkable for his age.

Earlier this year, together with Kid Rock, Kennedy Jr. also released an exercise video encouraging the American people to move their bodies and eat well, featuring footage of them exercising with various sports equipment.

But while both Kennedy Jr. and Schwarzenegger are fitness enthusiasts, their Senior's Day celebration meeting is far from being the first time they caught up with each other.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Arnold Schwarzenegger share a decade-long past and were connected through marriage, as RFK Jr. was Maria Shriver's first cousin. Although Shriver and Schwarzenegger have not been together for a long time, their friendship has never ended.

Kennedy and Schwarzenegger have exchanged appreciation and praise for each other in the past. Kennedy called him a "national leader for his efforts to restore Teddy Roosevelt's conservation tradition to the G.O.P."

Schwarzenegger heaped praise on Kennedy in June 2025.

"So when I ran as a Republican and a Democrat like Bobby Kennedy helped me, I said to myself that I should always be there for him. No matter if I believe in everything that he does or not, I will always support him." He told Andy Cohen.

It is also not the first time they have been spotted working out together at the Venice gym. So, probably the meeting was not a sudden reunion, but a regular good session among old friends.
