It's not every day that you get a shot to win the World Heavyweight title and defeat your old rival at the biggest WWE event, but when you do, you need to be ready. And that's exactly what Roman Reigns seems to be doing.

Night 2 of WrestleMania 42 is going to be a massive one for Reigns, as the 'OTC' is set to take on CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Championship. Hence, he is leaving no stone unturned to prepare himself in the best way possible.

In a recent Instagram post, 'The Big Dog' showed off his preparations for the upcoming Wrestlemania 42. The video featured the WWE superstar in the gym performing the Cable Flys seamlessly, looking completely focused and ready to win the title. The video even came with an inspirational caption: "Hard Work Is Measured In Progress. It Never Lies. Success Will Always Leave Clues."

The OTC got his shot at the title when he won the 2026 Men's Royal Rumble on January 31. Reigns won the match after defeating the final three contenders: Gunther, Randy Orton, and Logan Paul.

Wrestlemania 42 will be held on April 18 and April 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. While the Reigns vs Punk, Heavyweight title match is set to headline Night 2 of Wrestlemania 42, Triple H and Co. had booked several enthralling clashes for the first night as well.

Night 1 was headlined by a match between Randy Orton and Cody Rhodes, with the prized WWE Championship on the line. While Rhodes retained the title with a victory over Orton, it's time to see what Reigns has to offer.

Well, it seems that the 'OTC' is gearing up for a performance of a lifetime. And the specifics of his training routine speak volumes about the amount of effort he is putting in for the match.

Specifics of Roman Reigns' training routine

In an interview with TMZ last month, Reigns shared his diet and workout routine, which he is not too thrilled about, apparently.

“It s**** right now. It’s never-ending. I’m currently on three days, so I do a 45-minute cardio, a two-hour workout in the middle of the day, and another 45-minute cardio at night.”

His favourite exercise apparently is the incline dumbbell press.

The former Shield member also gave some details about his diet, which is curated for him by his dietician and coach. The diet includes macro nutrients, high protein, and some carbs and fats to keep him stable during workouts. His favorite cheat meal is a 'good steak with vegetables at Del Frisco’s Steakhouse.

Before this, Reigns followed the Y3T method, a training approach created by Neil Hill. The routine was also followed by seven-time 212 Mr. Olympia, Flex Lewis. The Y3T is a three-week training routine that includes various types of load with different sets and reps in each training session.

So, after learning about Reigns' training regimen, do you think he will be able to get the better of Punk to claim the World Heavyweight Championship?
