Despite undergoing 13 surgeries, Ronnie Coleman proved once more why he is known as “The King”.

On February 3, the 8x Mr. Olympia shared a video on his Instagram account showing him performing seated chest presses. The caption to his post detailed that he chose his workout based on the day's specialty.

It read, "YEAH BUDDY, it’s International Chest Day here at the @originalmetroflexgym! Feeling stronger every day now that I’m back training 4–6 times a week!"

After multiple surgeries and life-threatening sepsis, Coleman was left unable to walk, and recently, he was also seen using a wheelchair. But, with unbreakable courage, he made a New Year's resolution.

On January 13, the 8-time Mr. Olympia winner posted a video of doing light-weight leg presses, with the caption, “New Year, New Goals!! This year, my goal is to get back to full strength in the gym after my recent Sepsis and truly focus on getting back on my feet and walking. You can do anything you put your mind to, and I’m dedicated to my recovery this year…Yeah Buddy!!”

His recent video indicates that he is working at a healthy rate towards achieving his resolution. Not only that, but recently he has been seen multiple times doing light-weight exercises.

With that much dedication, Ronnie Coleman also received praise from one of the all-time bodybuilding legends, just like him.

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s praise for Ronnie Coleman

Coleman may have set the resolution to "get back to full strength in the gym," but he started working towards it before 2026 arrived. On December 26, 2026, Coleman shared another Instagram video showcasing him with the 7x Mr. Olympia, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The duo performed a few exercises at Gold Gym Venice. The caption to Coleman's post read, "Just two guys with 15 Mr. Olympia Titles training at Golds Gym Venice!!. I hope Franco is looking down and smiling every time me and @schwarzenegger get together for a workout!!."

However, the part that caught all the fans' attention was Arnold's praise for the 8-time Mr. Olympia winner. When Ronnie was doing more reps than Arnold, the Austrian Oak said, "Look at those reps. How can anyone keep up with this stuff? Oh, man. You see, that's the difference between an eight-time stolen beer and a mere seven-time stolen beer…. It's very visual. You can see it. Everyone can see it."

He continued, “God, you can see it right here. The way you pound out the reps. Yeah, and I'm struggling”.

Schwarzenegger may have clarified his opinion, but who out of these two do you like better?
