Ronnie Coleman Relives His Loss Against Lee Priest Despite His Full Confidence of Winning

8-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman has had many great moments in his bodybuilding career. However, losing to Lee Priest was one of the shocking moments for the legend, a moment he once admitted in front of Jay Cutler.

Cutler, the 4-time Mr. Olympia, shared a short Instagram clip on May 25 featuring Coleman, captioned “Lee Priest the giant slayer💪🏽.”

In the clip, Coleman was seen admitting, “I get to the Ironman, and I'm like, I know I can win this little show. Man, I placed third.”

When Cutler said who defeated The King, Coleman replied, “Yeah, Lee Priest. Like, how can a guy this short, not as big as I am, nowhere near as big as I am, beat me?

I didn't know what to think. I get back to my room, and I'm depressed, I ain't gonna lie. I'm done with this shit. And I thought about it, and I'm like, man, I ain't no winner. The reason why I got into the sport of bodybuilding was for a free membership to the gym.”

In this clip, Coleman is talking about the 1997 IFBB Ironman Pro Invitational, which was before he won his Mr. Olympia titles.

In that competition, Ken Wheeler took 1st place, and Lee Priest came in 2nd.

Although Coleman admitted that losing to Priest upset him, Priest says he lost to Coleman 7 times in his life.

According to Fitness Volt, through an Instagram post, Priest once said, “Seven, but he says five. We’ll leave it so we don’t upset him.”

While the discussion of Priest defeating Coleman again resurfaced, let's see what the body stats are for the 2 veteran bodybuilders.
