Ronnie Coleman, 62, joins young bodybuilders for a workout session as the internet reacts
At 62, bodybuilding legend Ronnie Coleman still shows up at the gym with the same passion as he had in his youth. His dedication and training intensity prove how his love for the sport and for training has not faded over time.
Coleman recently posted an Instagram video on July 3, 2026, where he can be seen training with fitness influencers Luke Elsman and Brodie Falgoust at MetroFlex Gym in Arlington, Texas.
"Nothin but Light Weight with @luke_elsman & @brodieshredz in the MetroFlex Gym…..Yeah Buddy!!," stated the caption.
The Instagram video features the trio engaging in inclined dumbbell chest presses with massive weights. Throughout the session, Coleman repeats his magic mantra, “Light weight!”
What makes the video even more special is Coleman’s return to the legendary MetroFlex Gym, where he trained during the late 1980s, building his iconic physique. His intense training years at MetroFlex helped him win the Mr. Olympia title eight consecutive years from 1998 to 2005.
The video quickly sparked nostalgia among fans online, who filled up the comments section of the post, celebrating his unwavering passion.

Coleman’s recent return to MetroFlex was a big moment for him as well as for fans online. People were pleasantly surprised to see the 62-year-old still training with the same passion at the gym that once defined his legacy.
A comment from Brodie Falgoust turned a lot of heads online, receiving over 100 likes.
“Nothing better than Ronnie in your ear yelling lightweight 😎,”
His excitement at training with Coleman is visible in the video. Not many people have the honor of training with Coleman and hearing his iconic “Light weight!” line.
Several people showed their love and respect for the 62-year-old bodybuilder, saying “Strong Ronnie sir ❤️” or simply commenting with emojis, like “❤️❤️❤️” and “👏👏👏👏👏🔥”.
One commentator expressed his desire to be in the young bodybuilders’ shoes, saying, “Big Ron, I need a workout with you too man 🔥🔥🔥🔥.” Of course, he isn’t the first person in history who would love to have the privilege of training with Coleman.
Luke Elsman also jumped in on the comment section with another one of Coleman’s iconic lines- “Nothing but a peanut 🫵🏼.”
The comment signified Coleman’s mindset- that no weight is heavy for him; it’s as easy as lifting peanuts and no challenge at all.
One fan joked that Coleman’s voice gives extra energy for the workout
“Ronnie's voice adds 2 more reps 🔥👏.”
Coleman is undeniably a legend, and working out with him is a dream that got fulfilled for Brodie and Luke, but still remains that for many young bodybuilders.
