Ryan Terry Gives an Update on Arnold Classic UK Following Eye Injury

Mar 26, 2026, 4:39 PM CUT

Reigning Mr. Olympia Ryan Terry suffered a painful eye injury just days before the Arnold Classic UK. Fans worried he would miss the event. On Tuesday, Terry took to Instagram to provide a crucial update on his condition and his plans for the show.

However, on March 25, he stepped forward and cleared the confusion.

Terry posted a video on his Instagram captioned “As the @arnoldsportsuk is just around the corner thought I’d better address my eye before attending 👊🏼”

The post further reads “I still 100% intend to be there and I’am looking forward to seeing you all there…. It might just mean the mankey eye might gate crash the pics 😬 (apologies in advance) unless I can brave a pair of sun glasses inside 🤔😎”

The 3x Mr. Olympia also revealed that he has been visiting “doctors and specialists take a look at it” and is trying everything from “eye washes, creams, treatments” to antibiotics, but “it still hasn’t improved.”

The 37-year-old bodybuilder also believed that his last training session had escalated the situation and said, “I probably didn’t help the situation yesterday. I did some deadlifts at the end of my session and felt something happen behind the eye, and it was pretty painful. I think that might be why it’s gotten worse.”

So, those who are willing to see “the people's champ” at the UK Arnold Classic can now take a sigh of relief. He will be available at the festival at Arnold Expo (Hall 11) on March 27.

While Terry prepares for the meet and greet at the Arnold Classic UK, his real challenge will be in September at the Mr. Olympia stage, where he will fight to defend his title.

Ryan Terry Is Eyeing His 4th Olympia Title

Ryan Terry dropped a post on January 1 captioned “HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS 🥳” The post further reads “hope you all had a good start to 2026 👊🏼 new year but the same goals for me… more time with the family, grow current business ventures and win my fourth Olympia title 👍🏼”

Last year, in a conversation with “Gulf News,” Terry revealed that his big goal is to “become the greatest Men’s Physique athlete of all time.”

He won back-to-back Olympia competitions in 2023, 2024, and 2025, and is now aiming for another. The Briton further added that “Jeremy Buendia has four titles, so I want to match him next year and hopefully surpass him with five.”

The British bodybuilder also said that after accomplishing his goal, he plans to retire.

So, are you excited to see him at the 2026 Mr. Olympia?
