Ryan Terry named official ambassador for the 2027 Arnold Sports UK
Ryan Terry has just announced his new venture, stepping into a role for one of British bodybuilding's biggest weekends. Terry is now an official ambassador for the 2027 Arnold Sports UK festival.
Terry is a great addition to what organizers are billing as the event's biggest edition yet. The three-time Mr. Olympia announced this through his Instagram handle.
"EXCITED to announce I will be an official ambassador for the 2027 @arnoldsportsuk festival. " This year is going to be the biggest yet with @gymshark headlining as expo sponsors, and if that wasn’t enough … in celebration of the 50th anniversary of making pumping iron - we are bringing it back in style for the expo weekend!!," stated the caption of his Instagram post.

As per the caption of his Instagram post, the event will take place in the year that marks the 50th anniversary of the film Pumping Iron, released in 1977.
Terry's path to ambassador status spans more than a decade of competitive milestones.
From Plumber to Podium: The Ryan Terry Story Behind Arnold Sports UK 2027
Ryan Terry was not born into a well-off family; his start was far from the stage. He worked as a plumber and gas engineer in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, before he took an interest in bodybuilding and made it his full-time career.
He was finally noticed in the community in 2010, when he won both Mr Great Britain and Mr International in the same year. Cut to three years later, Terry was the first British athlete to earn an IFBB Men's Physique pro card.
After that he won the UK National Championship, British Championship, and European Arnold Classic titles in 2013 alone. He then won the Arnold Classic thrice across his career span.
The real breakthrough happened in 2023, when Terry won his first Mr Olympia Men's Physique title after nine attempts. Further, he defended his title as well in 2024 and 2025.
With an expo featuring Gymshark on the schedule, along with the golden jubilee of “Pumping Iron,” the 2027 festival is all set to become a defining moment in the history of UK bodybuilding. Terry, being the official ambassador of the festival, ensures the participation of one of the sport’s most successful athletes.
