Sacha Baron Cohen’s Shredded Physique at 54 Leaves the Fitness World Inspired
Sacha Baron Cohen, the actor known for his comedic brilliance, has recently turned heads after revealing his shredded, muscular physique at age 54.
On May 14, the Instagram handle of “Men's Health Australia” dropped a post, captioning “Sacha Baron Cohen has surprised audiences by showing off his ripped physique in the first trailer for his upcoming film, ‘Ladies First’.
His transformation first caught attention in 2025. On July 23, 2025, the Instagram handle for Men's Fitness UK posted. The post reads, “Men's Fitness talks exclusively to king of comedy Sacha Baron Cohen about getting in shape for his new role as Mephisto in Marvel's Ironheart, how fitness is in his b**** and just why he can still rock a mankini.”
According to Men’s Health, Cohen trained with trainer Alfonso Moretti for only 25 minutes a day. The actor said he used to believe that transformation required hour-long sessions. He added, “But the short sessions made it so much easier to stay consistent – even with the demands of being on set.”
According to Men’s Fitness, “The Dictator” actor's transformation includes the following combined efforts:
- 100 push-ups daily
- Bodyweight exercises
- Pushups
- Squats
- Chin-ups
- Airdyne bike
- Leg raise
- Lunges
- Kickboxing
- Swimming
Not only that, the Borat actor said, “My favorite exercise is X-ups. I now believe that just 20 to 30 minutes of movement a day can make a real difference – and it’s something anyone can fit into their routine.”
Along with training, diet was vital to his transformation.

According to Men’s Fitness, under his trainer’s guidance, Cohen eats a not-so-fancy diet that includes:
- High fiber
- High protein
- Low sugar
The actor said, “We didn’t count calories. We focused on smart choices.”
On July 28, 2025, a video from “ATHLEAN-X™” dropped, where the hosts break down the actor's diet during his transformation. Hosts added that along with a healthy diet, Cohen also increased his water intake and decreased both his sugar and fat intake.”
So, when someone limits fat intake, they will quickly see results in reduced calorie intake.
