Samson Dauda on His Dream of Becoming the Best Bodybuilder- “ I Don’t Watch Any YouTube Channels”

During his appearance on 'The Beautiful Struggle Podcast,' hosted by Jay Davies, Dauda disclosed that he does not care about anything beyond bodybuilding. As long as his training and diet are on point, he does not concern himself with who wins or loses.

While answering "What is the hardest part about being Samson Dauda?" he jumped into how, from all that he has seen, he has learned to ignore the noise. And down in conversation, came the revelation.

“I don't watch anything. I don't watch at all. I don't watch bodybuilding podcasts. I don't watch any YouTube channels. I don't watch, I don't watch anything bodybuilding."

What began as a rugby crossover has turned Samson Dauda into a global bodybuilding force. After his amazing 2024 victory at Mr. Olympia, he cemented himself as one of the best among the elites. Yet titles are not enough.

"My job is clear in front of me. I want to be the best I can be. I want to be the best bodybuilder on the planet. The task is for me to go to the gym, train, eat, sleep, repeat, go after it over and over again,” He added.

During last year’s Mr. Olympia, Dauda was expected to defend his title but failed to do so, as Derek Lunsford clinched the championship, pushing Dauda to fourth place behind Andrew Jacked and Hadi Choopan.

Despite back-to-back losses, first at the Arnold Classic and then at the Olympia, Dauda has learned his lessons and is ready for a comeback in the 2026 season.

Why is Samson Dauda a terrifying contender for the 2026 season?

Simple, ‘The Nigerian Lion’ knows where he went wrong. Last year, he cut too much weight chasing conditioning. This time, he’s correcting that mistake and planning to come back bigger and more dominant.

"It's time to go back to being a monster again. This is bodybuilding. We all joined this because we want to see inhuman physiques. We want to see monsters,” Dauda shared with Jay Davies on the podcast.

“We want to see guys bigger than we've ever seen. We want to see guys and feel fright over it. That's what drew us to bodybuilding, that big size, beauty, monsters, the things you don't see every day."

Samson Dauda is looking to reach the 350-pound mark this offseason, then return to the competition as jacked as possible.
