Seth Rollins Details the Difference Between Gym Workouts and WWE Showdowns

Do gym workouts really help once you’re inside a WWE ring?

A lot of people think core training does the job, but it’s not that simple. Seth Rollins has a pretty clear take on what actually carries over when it’s time to perform.

Sitting down on MH Fitness Strong Talk Season 2, Seth Rollins gave a reality check to many, saying, “In the gym is so much different than being on the playing field, so to speak — or in this case, because the gym’s like the lab, right? It’s a very controlled setting.”

One takeaway Rollins gives that differentiates gym workouts from actually being in the ring is that, “You get to fully lock in. Stability-wise, that’s the big thing for me.” In the gym, you are completely in control of your surroundings.

However, “The problem is that that doesn’t translate great to what we do in the ring because there’s so much chaos and everything happens in an instant.”

In fact, Rollins believes that wrestling is the only profession that truly blends athleticism and acting. However, what about his return to the sport? Let’s hear it from the man himself.

Seth Rollins Gives a Timeline on His Return to the Ring

‘The Architect' is not quite sure about his immediate return. However, given the timeframe, he hopes he might be back in action by WrestleMania 42, which is scheduled to take place in April this year in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“Don’t know the answer to that yet. You know, the timeline for shoulder surgery and repair is four to six months or so. Did my rotator cuff back in October.

As long as there are no setbacks, I hope to be cleared by the time WrestleMania rolls around in April. But I mean, at the end of the day, that decision isn’t mine,” said Rollins.

“I’m at 12 weeks [into recovery] right now, this week coming up, I’m good. Mobility’s good.”

With a timeline set, Seth Rollins is preparing to take on the giants, but will he be able to recover within three months? Time will tell.
