Joan MacDonald

Rewire your brain and feel happier
A psychology professor at Yale University, Laurie Santos, stated, “One of the worst things about happiness is that we get used to the good stuff.”
According to her, our brain gets used to new changes, and then happiness vanishes. Santos believes that happiness depends on what we do every single day and what we think. With small changes and exercise, we can alter our brains to feel positive.
Chef Han Li-guang
Weight loss is a long process. Sometimes it takes months, and sometimes years, of consistency and discipline to show results. The Singaporean chef Han Li-guag was almost 94kg in 2022. After that, he started his fitness journey.

He said, “I started to do a lot more cardio, controlled my carb intake, and lowered my fat intake. I was very successful. I dropped around 8kg in four months.”
He lost nearly 30kg since 2022, and he still trains himself for 6 days a week for 2 hours. Li also said, “Going to the gym helps me clear my mind, to start fresh. It sets my mood in the right direction as well.”
Bryan Johnson
You may already know this one. A documentary on Netflix titled “Don’t Die: The Man Who Wants to Live Forever” had Brayan show his daily regimen.
He wakes up at 5 am and sleeps usually at 8:30 pm. He consumes a vegan diet with 90 supplements a day. He exercises for 60 minutes for 6 days a week. He also takes an LED bath. He spends almost 2 million dollars yearly on his age-reversing program.
Terri Cheong
A Singaporean finance executive named Terri Cheong went for a pre-medical test for a blood donation camp. She failed the test as her cholesterol and blood pressure are high.
She then realized, “How unhealthy and unfit I had become. I had let my health slip. Something had to change.”
In December 2023, her weight was 83kg. By consistently working out and walking regularly for 14,000 steps, she lost almost 19 kg in 7 months.
“I see people at the gym who are 60-plus, lifting weights heavier than [I do]. They look fantastic and healthy. Age is not a limit. If you put your mind to it, you can achieve anything.”
