“She Aged Well”- Haney Rambod Recalls Hanging Out With Jay Cutler’s ‘Amazing’ Mother During Mr. Olympia Preparations
The youngest of seven siblings, Jay Cutler took a different career path from everyone else, choosing bodybuilding as his core pursuit, and he was clearly happy with his decision. However, his mother enjoyed his journey even more than he did.
Hany Rambod, in a conversation with Jay Cutler on his YouTube Handle, asked about the well-being of his mother, to which the 4x Mr. Olympia responded, ‘Mom’s good.” Following that, Hany dropped a story about how his mother used to love his journey more than he did.
“So, backstory—when Jay and I were working together for those Olympias, his mom, amazing, would be with Nas and me. When she would be eating with us, we’d go get Bucker’s Burgers—we’d get a burger for you, a burger for Phil, and then we’d have a burger with her,” said Rambod.
Cutler expressed that his mother misses his journey as well, as she always asks about the people she met during his journey. “She knows, she always asks, though,” said Cutler. “She still looks kind of the same, to be honest. She aged well. I mean, seven kids and a lot of time—but I went back for Thanksgiving, so I got to spend time with them and meet my brothers.”
Jay Cutler’s childhood included an early turning point; his parents divorced when he was just four years old.
Jay Cutler opens up about his family
Jay Cutler rarely speaks about his past, but in his conversation with Flex Lewis, the 4x Mr. Olympia revealed a bit about his family. “My parents kind of divorced early, right when I was like four years old. My dad kind of watched over all of us kids, and my brothers and sisters really raised me,” recalled Cutler.
The 4x Mr. Olympia further expressed that his father worked hard to make ends meet. Taking care of the needs and demands of seven children wasn’t easy. Due to the stressful environment, Mr. Olympia began working at the age of 11 at his brother’s concrete business.
All of those experiences shaped Cutler’s mind as well as his body. Today, the 4x Mr. Olympia has built a beautiful family of his own.
