Steph Curry's recovery routine: The Warriors legend's post-workout drills

Stephen Curry has now missed 23 straight games with a runner’s knee, and there’s a chance he sits out one more before making a return. As anticipation builds around his comeback, here’s a closer look at the recovery routine fueling his return to the courts.

One of the most important elements of his recovery is sleep. Speaking to Business Insider, Curry highlighted that as he enters the twilight of his career, sleep is what keeps him going, “I've realized everything does matter, especially sleep: the amount you get, the consistency, and good sleep habits.”

Apart from that, Steph maintains an important recovery routine that includes “cold tubs, the sauna, compression sleeves,” all to ensure proper blood flow in his legs. “If I skip one of those, I feel it, and it doesn't give me the maximum recovery that I need, especially at this stage,” said Curry.

That’s not all! Before bedtime, he gives his legs additional rest by wearing Normatec compression boots. These boots inflate and deflate around the feet, calves, and thighs, creating a wave-like pressure that promotes better blood flow and recovery.

That said, let’s take a look at what his daily schedule looks like when he’s not playing.

Since he is still in recovery for at least one more game, Curry’s entire daily schedule looks something like this.

8:00 AM – Wake-Up
8:15 AM – Play with Kids
8:30 AM – Breakfast
9:30 AM – Basketball training & practice
12:00 PM – Neurocognitive training
2:00 PM – Lunch
3:00 PM – Recovery Work
5:00 PM – Nap
6:30 PM – Dinner
8:00 PM – Family time
9:30 PM – Movies
10:30 PM – “No screen time”
11:00 PM – Bed

The team stated that he’s making “good progress,” has intensified his individual on-court workouts, and that it’s just a matter of time before Stephen Curry returns to the court.
