The Fitness Rules Barbie Blank Applied During Her Prime Glam Years to Remain in Shape

Barbie Blank was a standout name during the WWE Divas era. Fans always noticed her iconic athletic physique and signature abs. But what actually kept her in that shape despite the tough travel and schedule?

Blank joined WWE in 2006 at just 19 years old under the ring name Kelly Kelly. By 2012, she had won the Divas Championship. She avoided heavy weights because she gained muscle mass easily. She committed to a strict schedule of daily cardio combined with short core sessions.

"I do 60 minutes of cardio and 15-minute abdominal workouts," she explained during her 2012 run. Her ab routine stuck to push-ups, sit-ups, and basic abdominal machines.

She knew that doing the same thing daily gets boring. To deal with this, she rotated her cardio machines daily. She also mixed in hour-long classes at local gyms or at home, including Pilates, yoga, Zumba, and body-pump.

Blank made a strict rule to never skip movement entirely. She aimed for at least 20 minutes of cardio on the road. "As long as you’re getting a little cardio in, it still makes you feel good," she said. When fast food was the only option, she ordered a salad or a grilled chicken sandwich without the bun.

Those simple rules also laid the exact groundwork for how she managed her health and business long after she left the ring.

From WWE Abs to Lifelong Fitness

Blank retired from WWE around 2013, but she did not drop her fitness habits. She transitioned into reality television on WAGS and kept her famous look as a mom and influencer. She took her old core-focused approach and turned it into a new business venture called Lynx Fitness.

"So this is the Lynx board, and it's friction training, but it's basically using all your core muscles," she explained while describing the gear. She used it for moves like mountain climbers, the pike, side lunges, and squats. "But there's certain moves that you're gonna do that are gonna work different body parts," she added.

On the wrestling road, she just picked the best available fast food. Later, she moved to a much more intentional clean eating style based on allergy testing. She figured out what worked for her body and cut out dairy, beef, and cheese. She focused mostly on chicken and vegetables.

Blank's prime WWE fitness rules became a lifelong framework. She went from the Divas era to reality TV and entrepreneurship without missing a beat. What do you think about Barbie Blank's simple approach to staying in shape?
