The Next Generation: Eddie Hall’s Son Shocks the Gym

Feb 20, 2026, 10:00 AM CUT

Eddie Hall, the British strongman, who retired in 2018, set a world record in 2016 by becoming the first person to deadlift 1102.31lbs.

Now, his legacy is in the hands of his 13-year-old son, Maximus Hall. He started to follow his father’s footsteps and his deadlift and training videos are shocking the gym goers.

On November 5, 2025, the retired strongman posted a video on his Instagram of his son doing a deadlift of 352.74lbs.  “The Beast” wrote that his son “Deadlifting 160kg Easily 🥹” and also said, “I’m so proud of Max.”

Maximus Hall, aka “Beast Jr.” trains himself 4 days a week, and each session lasts “1.5hr each time.” He even performs a “15mins cardio at the end of every session.” Eddie further wrote that his son “started doing rugby sometimes BEFORE his weight training.

He truly develops the “passion for health and fitness and understands nutrition better than most.”

The teenager is trained under the guidance of the full-time coach “@agelessathletetv,” which helps him push in every session.

In fact, Eddie Hall, who thinks his son will be bigger than him, sometimes trains with his son, saying, “They are the best sessions for me.”

Eddie Hall son's raw power

Eddie also revealed his dream about his son on December 29, 2025, during his appearance on the Disruptors Podcast. He said he would love for his son to become the World’s strongest Man one day.

“The Beast” further said, “I would love to push him hard and pressure him to do that. But I feel like — and I’ve been there myself — if you put too much pressure on a kid, they go the opposite way. And they almost want to defy their parents.”

When Maximus turned 10, he began training with his father and started learning how to perform deadlifts. Interestingly, during his first session, he lifted a 40kg (88lbs) weight.

Not only this, when Max was 11 years old, on June 11, 2024, Max successfully deadlifted 120kg (264.5 pounds) in a YouTube video.

Max's power wasn’t limited to deadlifts; he also performed an overhead press with dumbbells of weight 88 pounds (40kg) during his training with his father. These shows Max’s raw power and strength at such a young age; he is lifting that much weight, even a full-grown adult can hardly lift it. This little champ has a really bright future ahead.
