Stuck in a rut? Looking for a reset plan? Then try this simple 3-step approach to rebuild your diet, training routine, and mindset for lasting results.

After months of cold and low energy, spring is the ideal time to start building good habits. According to Start TODAY's Mindfulness Expert, Yasmine Cheyenne, this natural shift in seasons helps you reset and fills you with motivation.

Mindset Resetting With Mental Health Exercise

Expert Cheyenne believes that spring is the time of renewal. She explained that a simple way to enhance one's mindset is to write down positive words and repeat them daily. This will help stay focused and calm while working.

She said, “One of my favorite examples is: Take it slow and don’t rush, your nervous system deserves peace.” Cheyenne also explained, “Our actions really start with the words we say to ourselves. Reading them out loud helps us rewire the way we talk to ourselves, and that inner shift is exactly what opens the door to transformation.”

Upgradation of Fitness Routine

Start TODAY's trainer, Stephanie Mansour, advocates for upgrading your workouts by making them fun and effective. One suitable option is to incorporate HIIT workouts. She said, “HIIT workouts give you a bigger bang for your workout buck!” In this method, exercises are performed for a short period at a higher pace, making the training fun and effective.

Apart from this, Mansour also added, “Walking outdoors isn’t just a workout, it’s a chance to breathe in fresh air and get out of the house to change your environment.” She said outdoor walks can enhance both mental and physical health.

Simple and Light Diet

Start TODAY’s dietitian, Natalie Rizzo, advises improving eating habits by adding more seasonal veggies, fruits, and fresh herbs to the diet, like:

  • Asparagus
  • Peas
  • Spinach
  • Straberries
  • Citrus fruits
  • Mint
  • Parsley
  • Cilantro
  • Basil

He said, "They are fresher, flavourful, and nutritious, and they also add a pop of colour to the meal." Rizzo also suggested staying away from the heavy winter meals and choosing lighter plates, such as

  • Lean protein
  • Whole grains
  • Starchy veggies

This trio of food, mindset, and exercise will help you lead a healthy, stress-free life. This is what the Start TODAY team basically said.

So, would you like to try this method this spring to become healthier?
