Tom Brady Reveals the 5 Most Physically Dominating NFL Players He Has Faced
Tom Brady revealed the five most physically imposing opponents he faced during his 23-year career. Speaking with YouTuber Jesse James West, the seven-time Super Bowl champion highlighted the legends who hit him the hardest.
He spent the day going through Brady's morning routine, which included everything from his workouts to his diet sessions. During their time together, West asked Brady, 'Who was the biggest NFL player he had to go against physically?' Brady named four players who gave him a hard time on the field.
- Ndamukong Suh
- Jevon Kearse
- Benjamin Watson
- Tristan Wirfs
Commenting on Wirfs, Brady even told West, "His calves were your quads." Besides these players, the 48-year-old even revealed the name of the player he was the most wary of while playing, and it was none other than Ray Lewis.
Brady said, "He was a pain in my a*** because not only was he physically so gifted, talk about like the all day juice he would bring, he would inspire all his teammates to be just like him."
As the saying goes, you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. Brady's greatness comes from the great players he played with and against. They helped bring out the best in him. The rest came from the disciplined training routine he follows.
Tom Brady’s Morning Routine
The video was basically about Tom Brady's routine, and the list was just a small part of it.
There are morning routines, and then there is Tom Brady's routine. The one that helped him win seven Super Bowl championships, five Super Bowl MVPs, and three league MVPs. Here is the full breakdown.
His morning starts with his favorite forms of exercise: swimming at his Florida home. Then it's time for the gym, where he has equipment for every muscle. The gym has a bench press machine (chest), cable stack (back), leg curl (hamstrings), leg extension machines (quads), and dumbbells for his biceps.
“I think most people mess gyms up,” Brady explains. “Every muscle should get attention every day.”
The workout eventually shifts towards golf before ending with Brady’s famous “pliability” philosophy in the recovery room. Brady says that strength training can make muscles short and stiff, and recovery helps restore flexibility, mobility, and movement quality.
Finally, it was time for Brady to feed himself and his guest, which he did by making a nutrient-dense smoothie. The morning finally finished with the one activity that Brady loves above all: throwing footballs.
