Trick Williams shows off intense workout at Hustle House ahead of US Title defense
The current WWE United States Champion, Trick Williams, is grinding to back up his championship reign. He has his defense around the corner against Carmelo Hayes at SummerSlam.
Williams is putting in honest work at his gym, the Hustle House, and his new training clip shows exactly that.
Williams punctuates the video with the swagger that has become his calling card on SmackDown. "I'm the United States Champion. They call me Trick Lil. Trick Lil' One," he says, delivering the line with the same confidence he brings to his in-ring promos.
The video shows him doing landmine presses, sled pushes, push-ups, explosive hurdle jumps, explosive slam ball exercises, as well as banded barbell squats and rows. His workout circuit looks like a complete athlete performance training.
This kind of training increases VO2 max and explosive power. Williams will surely come in fast and reactive inside the ring with his circuit.
Williams' entrance on the main roster left everyone awe-struck when he appeared with rapper Lil Yachty, pairing entrance-and-mic charisma with a hard-hitting in-ring style built on capoeira-influenced kicks and his finishing Trick Shot knee strike.
What's next for Trick Williams
Trick Williams has been the champion since his victory over Sami Zayn at WrestleMania 42 in April.
He defeated Zayn again at Backlash, going 2-0 in the feud, with Yachty accompanying him once more at ringside. He successfully defended the title against Ricky Saints at Night of Champions using the Trick Shot, making it 69 days as champion, with Yachty delivering a People's Elbow on Saints after the match.
In addition to this, Trick Williams competed in this year's King of the Ring tournament; however, he lost in the first round of a Fatal 4-Way match against Bron Breakker, Damian Priest, and Dominik Mysterio, ending his reign quickly. This, however, was not connected to his champion status.
Now Williams looks all ready to defend his title against Carmelo Hayes, adding one more feather to his decorated cap!
