Tyla's Fitness Secrets Behind an Energetic and Fit Body
Tyla Laura Seethal, the “Queen of Popiano,” earned her first Grammy award in 2024 for the song “Water”. She has gained the spotlight not only with her impressive music but also with an appearance at Victoria’s Secret, wearing white wings.
Her stage presence and maintained physique have inspired her fans for a long time. Let's take a look at her secrets to a fit lifestyle.
Tyla's unusual workout routine
Women's Health published an article featuring Tyla’s interview, where she admitted, “I love to dance. When I’m preparing for a show, we’ll schedule a week of dance rehearsals that last up to two hours or more. I’m pretty active in that sense!”
When it comes to exercise, she says, “I also enjoy working group pilates, lifting weights, going for a walk, and hiking. These help take me out of work mode.”
When Tyla was asked to highlight her best time to work out, she said, “ I prioritise exercise over everything. I’m learning that I can always make time for myself and my body. Usually when I travel, I like staying at a hotel with a gym close by or one with a gym on its premises.”
Now, without a balanced diet, it is not possible to stay fit. And Tyla has some favorites.
Tyla’s diet approach and nutrition plan
When asked what she misses when she travels, she said, “biltong, pap, and my mom’s food!”

When it comes to breakfast, she said, “I like a light breakfast because I hate feeling heavy in the morning. I usually have chia pudding or oats..."
However, the same cannot be said when it comes to lunch. “When I do have a moment to sit down, I like a wrap or sandwich. Supper is where I go in hard with a warm meal, usually pasta or a stew with rice. Throughout the day, I snack on either cashews, seaweed or pistachios.”
She also follows a proper nutrition plan, which supports her body during and after a workout. For instance, Tyla consumes lean protein such as chicken, tofu, and fish. These products give her energy and work in muscle recovery. Apart from that, Tyla's diet also contains carbohydrates like sweet potato and quinoa, which are beneficial for strength.
At the same time, nuts, avocados, and olive oil work as healthy fats and support her brain and skin health. She gets her vitamins and vital minerals from fruits and veggies like spinach and berries.
And for hydration, she consumes herbal tea along with water.
