Tyson Fury Shares Training Update and Displays Current Shape Ahead of Exhibition Bout in Thailand
Tyson Fury is preparing for his charity exhibition heavyweight bout against Mariusz Wach, the Polish veteran, on July 24 at the Max Muay Thai Stadium in Pattaya, Thailand.
The event will serve as a warm-up for Fury as he gears up for a mega fight with Anthony Joshua later in 2026.
In the meantime, Fury has provided an update on his training and revealed his current physical condition.
On July 16, Fury shared a post on his Instagram channel, featuring 2 of his current images taken at the swimming pool. He captioned the post, “Been a long camp, but I'm receiving the rewards. Train hard, fight easy! Here comes the boom 💥 #healthy #muscles.”

His arm muscles were clearly visible as he flexed his arm while getting out of the pool.
Apart from that, on July 16, he shared another post on his Instagram with the caption, “The 3 amigos. @joeboxerparker @kancho.mcinnes ready for a good fight. Any 1 can get this smoke 💨 2 of the world's best heavyweights! #Bestduo we will take AJ & rabbit 🐰 same bill?”
In the post, he was seen in front of a boxing ring with Joseph Parker and Shorin Kempo Kaikan.
In that post, Fury also looked more toned and conditioned.
Although Fury spends a lot of time in the ring, according to an article published in April 2026 on Men's Health, “Strength training still plays a key role, with twice-weekly gym sessions alongside long-time strength and conditioning coach Kristian Blacklock.”
"Everyone looks at Tyson and doesn't think he has strong legs. I think it's because he has such long legs," Blacklock says. "But he does loads of leg work. His legs are really strong – his quads are big – people just don’t see it.
He can deadlift around 220kg. Proper deadlifts – from the floor, with an Olympic bar. For his length of leg, that’s actually really impressive.”
Some of the workouts that Fury performs include:
- Trap Bar Deadlift
- Landmine Press
- Bulgarian Split Squat
- Explosive Push-Up
- Squat Jump
- Ab Rollout.
It is clear that Fury is working hard not only for the next fight but also to maintain a fit physique. Apart from hard work, Fury is also focusing on his mental well-being, which comes from feeling happy.
Tyson Fury talks about the importance of feeling happy for good training
On February 27, International Boxing News shared a short reel on YouTube in which Fury discussed his training in Thailand and emphasized that staying happy is important to him.
He said, “When I'm in Thailand, and I wake up, and it's 30 degrees outside, I'm like, this is awesome. Let me go training. Sunshine is the key…. And if you wake up in the sunshine, you feel happy. And I want to feel happy. I don't like the cold anymore. And I don't like the rain. I don't like the greyness. I don't like the two weeks of summer we get per year.”
Talking about his experience, Fury said that in Thailand, the worst day for him was when it was 27.5 degrees, and the best was when it was 35 degrees.
He said, “So yeah, it's been pretty good. I've really been enjoying my training, and you can get a good sweat.”
Fury also shared his experience with Muhammad Ali, who once said he loved staying and training in Miami.
According to Fury, Ali said, “Because when I'm having me breakfast I'm losing weight. When I'm jogging I'm losing weight. When I'm training I'm losing weight. When I'm sleeping I'm losing weight.”
So while Fury is out in Thailand, where it is 30 degrees, a bit like Miami, with the humidity, he thinks he is losing weight all the time.
