Vera Wang, 76, Remains Fit With Health Hacks She Has Used Over the Years

Fashion legend Vera Wang has people doing double-takes. Not just for her designs, but also for looking ageless in her 70s.

Wang, now 76, continues to inspire everyone with her fitness, and instead of strict routines, she credits her long-term habits for her vitality. Simple lifestyle choices like balanced sleep, work, diet, and self-care keep her moving even at this age.

In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, this is what Wang had to say,

“The people I work with are all very fit, so that pushes me to ‘work out’ too.”

Wang has also said that she’s “not very keen on going to the gym.”

The fashion icon has an alternative to the gym. She chooses treadmill runs or bike rides and either lifts two-pound or three-pound dumbbells for less than five minutes every day.

But more than exercise, she focuses on her diet to maintain her youthful appearance.

“My favourite thing to eat for breakfast is an omelette with a little toast and maybe a slice, just one, of bacon.”

For lunch, she opts for chicken soup, with lots of vegetables, and dinner is generally a home-cooked Chinese meal.

However, every now and then, she will dig into delicacies like sashimi with brown rice, or an artichoke salad with fish, or maybe boiled cauliflower with chicken and rice. But that doesn't mean she doesn't have room for a little bit of junk food.

“I have a storeroom just for candy, another for cornflakes, and one for Cheetos and goldfish crackers, which I dubbed as my ‘Orange Food’ storeroom. I’m a potato chip fiend,” concluded Wang.

She ends her day with a cozy wellness routine that includes a very long hot bath. It is relaxing and helps with good sleep.
