Wesley Visser is the biggest threat to Ramon Dino, claims Olympia judge
With any dominant champion comes a hungry contender who is there to dethrone him. And as per Olympia judge Terrick El Guindy, for the current champion Ramon Dino, that contender is Wesley Visser.
Guindy spoke about this case on Olympia TV, highlighting the inconsistencies he has observed in the class and explaining why Visser is a standout.
"This guy is the biggest threat to Ramon," Guindy said, before turning his attention to Mike Sommerfeld's unpredictable Olympia form. "I have seen a lot of inconsistencies from Mike Sommerfeld. We don't know if he's gonna claim to be 7 ft tall at this Olympia, we don't know if he's gonna be on stage or not."
Guindy did not mince words talking about the two-time Arnold Classic champion Mike Sommerfield.
"Mike, I love you, but you need to go back to the German precision," Guindy said, adding that at his best, fans wondered if Sommerfeld "was gonna be Bumstead" before he dropped to sixth- and seventh-place finishes.
That volatility and Sommerfield's critique open the door for Visser to make a serious run at Dino's title in the Classic Physique, in Guindy's view.
Ramon Dino and Wesley Vissers head-to-head
Ramon Dino and Wesley Vissers have traded wins in a rivalry that continues to build heading into the 2026 Mr. Olympia. Vissers defeated Dino at the Arnold Classic in 2024, but Dino squared back with him with a decisive win over Vissers at the Arnold Classic UK this year.
Vissers later secured his second Arnold Classic title in Columbus and took the Detroit Pro convincingly. That might just be one of the reasons why he is being seen as a threat to Dino alongside Mike Sommerfield.
Apart from all the comparisons, there has been mutual respect between the two bodybuilders. Speaking after the 2025 Olympia, as per Fitness Volt, Vissers said of Dino's win over Sommerfeld that he could tell Dino brought his best, especially in the finals, calling him proportionate and a true Classic Physique bodybuilder.
Dino is already 13 weeks into his previous workout regimen and boasts forearms measuring 17 inches in preparation for the contest.
