Wesley Vissers' decisive Arnold Classic 2026 win leaves no room for suspicion of his dominance. Will he bring this command to the open category? Looks like he isn't really shying away from that possibility.

Recently, the Classic category icon shared a conversation with Jay Cutler when that question was posed. Vissers didn't beat around the bush as he answered: "For sure, it's going to happen sooner than later—who knows?"

In fact, it's an opportunity Vissers is looking forward to. However, it's important to note that the open category is a hard nut to crack. The stage demands immense size and muscle mass over the aesthetic limits of the Classic category.

The shift to that weight class is more than an uphill journey to extreme conditioning; it requires Vissers to ditch his previous rulebook to follow a different blueprint entirely.

Fortunately, that's a challenge the 32-year-old is willing to accept. "Let's see how this Olympia goes... But I'm very excited about it, that's for sure," Vissers shared.

If we were to make an educated guess, fans can expect Vissers to make his open-class debut at competitions including EVLS Prague Pro or Dubai Pro. However, it's really the upcoming Mr. Olympia that can influence the picture.

Bouncing back from last year's disappointment, Wesley Vissers qualified for Mr. Olympia with a headstrong Arnold Classic win this year. But whether Vissers can take down Ramon Queiroz still hangs in the balance.

Dennis 'The Menace' James has warned that the IFBB Pro needs to be at his 100% if he wants to defeat the reigning champion.

"I can see Wesley being a threat now to beat Ramon, possibly," James told Prime Time Muscle. “He needs to be super conditioned. There’s no other way. If Wesley is not 100%, 99% is not enough. He needs to be 100% in order to stand next to the best guys and possibly beat them.”
