Wesley Vissers Reveals His New Training Split Ahead of the 2026 Arnold Classic

The 2026 Arnold Classic will welcome top bodybuilders to Columbus, Ohio, in March 2026, and Wesley Vissers has adopted a new method to excel in the contest.
On January 18, Vissers provided fans with a breakdown of his training routine for the 2026 edition of Arnold Classic. Surprisingly, he revealed that he had "split" in his training schedule for the upcoming contest.
In a four-day-old YouTube video on his channel, Vissers disclosed that he performs two repetitions of a "three-day split" workout per week, with the fourth day being the "rest day". He also detailed that these workouts were specifically designed based on judge Steve Weinberger's suggestion.

The Dutch Oak further stated that he was focusing on back width and thickness, but his priority was on legs.
and said, "In New York, getting his feedback on my physique and he's the head judge of both the Arnolds and the Olympia. So when he says something, you take it seriously.”
Wesley Vissers’s 3-day workout 1st split,
- On day 1, he trains his leg muscles.
- On day 2, he performs chest-specific exercises
- On the third day, he trains his back.
- Then, on the 4th day, he rests. The second split follows after the rest day.
Besides training, Visser is also taking special care of his diet, an indispensable factor to excel at any bodybuilding contest. His post-workout meal is one of the most essential parts of his competition diet.
What Nutrients Does Wesley Vissers's Post-workout Meal Contain?
In the same YouTube video, Vissers confessed that his post-workout meal feels like a "victory meal" because of the intensity of his workouts. He also called it the "favorite meal of the day." It contains a lot of carbohydrates and proteins to revitalize his body.
Vissers stressed the importance of carbohydrates, calling them "most important" because of their glycogen-replenishing capacity.
He also detailed the role of proteins in muscle building, along with mentioning that he consumes them post-workout to "maintain the muscles" and even make them "grow."
