When Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone Delivered Different Mindsets While Reflecting on Their Childhoods
Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone are well known for their resilience and grit. When the two come together, audiences can always expect a few laughs. However, this time, the two shared more than just jokes- they traded difficult stories from their childhoods.
Schwarzenegger experienced an extremely strict childhood back in Austria, revealing the devastation he struggled with after the passing of his brother, Meinhard, in 1971. Similarly, Stallone reflected on growing up with negligent and emotionally distant parents, sharing how they passed on generational trauma from their own challenging childhoods. Both found their escapes in their art- bodybuilding and acting.
“I can't just blame it on them, because when I go back, and I look at my mother's upbringing, orphanages and this and that, they were angry. And they just thought, 'That's the way I'm going to pass it on. You're not going to be happy if I'm not happy,’” Stallone reflected sadly.
