When Giants HC John Harbaugh Squatted 405 Lbs and Left the Fitness World Impressed

Just months before the Baltimore Ravens kicked off their season, head coach John Harbaugh had a surprise for fans.
At 62 years old, Harbaugh turned heads when he lifted hundreds of pounds in weights during his exercise routine.
The Athlete’s Plug Instagram handle reshared a video of John squatting 405 pounds on their timeline. The original clip dates back to June last year. In that clip, he didn’t just hit it once. He did eight repetitions. For context, only some of the fittest players in the league, Ethan Evans and Andrew Billings, were able to squat more than 700 lbs.
Although Harbaugh never played in the NFL as a player, unlike his younger brother, Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh, John was a standout at Miami University in Ohio.
He's among an elite group of coaches known for their fitness. Some names include Dan Campbell and Mike McDaniel.
Fans flooded the post with comments like, "At his age that’s impressive," and "So tired of people knocking his depth. This is solid work."
Now, Harbaugh has big things happening.

"For me, the No. 1 thing is we have to have guys that love football. You just have to. It's football. What are we here for? What do we do? What is this building for? It's for football. This is a football team. We need guys that love everything about football. They love the games, they love the practices, they love the weightlifting, they love the meetings, they love the dining hall. They love every part of football. And if you love football, you're going to want to be here."
