Ronnie Coleman stunned the world not only with his physique, but also with his insane workouts with unthinkable weights. So when Eddie Hall asked Jay Cutler about Coleman’s monstrous lifts, the latter could only respond with pure respect.

A couple of weeks ago, an Instagram post from The Pro's Gym highlighted a section of a conversation between Hall and Cutler inside a gym. Given that Cutler had competed and also defeated Coleman, Hall questioned him about Coleman's habit of training with shockingly heavy weights.

Besides answering the question affirmatively, the 4x Mr. Olympia revealed that there was a time when he trained alongside Coleman. He added, "And he trained the same, like the same rest times and the speed and the intensity, even with that heavy weight.”

Cutler revealed another interesting trivia about Coleman's workout, saying, “I would squat 400 lbs for 12 reps, and he would do 600 for 12. And the first rep was exactly like the last rep. There was no difference between the first rep and the last rep.”

Well, pushing heavy weights was just another day at the office for Ronnie Coleman. Mind you, this is the man who squatted 800 lbs, deadlifted 800 lbs, leg-pressed 2,300 lbs, and much more.

And that’s not all, Jay Cutler, on another occasion, highlighted why Coleman was simply built differently.

Jay Cutler Breaks Down Ronnie Coleman’s Brutal Training Style

Cutler spoke extensively about Coleman's insane workouts in an episode of his podcast, CutlerCast. The 52-year-old said, "He's in the corner, just pounding six plates a side on the squat.” However, what truly surprised Cutler was how effortless Coleman made it look.

“I was always like a couple of reps, pause. A couple of reps pause," said Cutler. "However, Coleman’s approach was completely different. It was relentless." Cutler also mentioned that Coleman’s style was so explosive that his muscles rarely had any time to rest.

Coleman became one of the greatest in the sport with such insane workouts, but looking at his current condition, do you think he should have limited himself to training with lighter weights?
