When Kim Kardashian Opened Up About Her Body Fat Percentage

In August 2022, Kim Kardashian revealed that she fell into the elite “athlete category” after measuring her body fat percentage. 

Let’s reveal what the whole story was.

According to “New.com.au,” the businesswoman and social media personality underwent a body recomposition test at age 41. She shared the results on her social media; the report shows that her total body fat was only 18.8 percent, which places her in the “athlete” category.

Now, according to the Forbes article, the American College of Sports Medicine suggested one important point: a person's healthy body fat percentage depends on age. 

In the case of Kardashian, for women between the ages of 40 and 59, healthy body fat is “23 percent to 33 percent,” while for the female athlete category, the percentage is “14 percent to 20 percent.”

According to People Magazine, SKIMS' owner also revealed her bone density on her Instagram story. She wrote, “YOU HEAR THAT?!?!!! MY BONES ARE STRONGER THAN 93-97% OF PEOPLE.” The whole test took her 7 minutes to determine her bone density and fat percentage.  

The reports also highlighted that she had significantly reduced her body fat percentage from 2021 to 2022. In 2021, “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” actress had 25% body fat, which decreased to 18.8% the following year.

To reduce fat and strengthen her bones, she maintains a regular training regimen and continues to work with a personal trainer, who shared her go-to routine.

Senada Greca is Kardashian's current trainer, who, during her interview with SELF, said, "She’s (Kardashian) very busy—but she prioritizes working out. It’s in her schedule. She shows up. There’s no negotiation.”

The fitness model primarily focuses on strength-training movements, and some of her favorite workouts include:

  • Pull-ups
  • Bulgarian split squats
  • Body crunch with medium weight
  • Romanian deadlift with dumbbells

According to the trainer, they both believe that exercises must be enjoyable. She said a workout “should feel like playtime.”

With such a structured strength-training approach, Kardashian maintains a toned physique at 45.
