Why a 3x Men’s Physique Mr. Olympia Champion Calls Himself the GOAT
Brandon Hendrickson does not wait for others to justify why he is the G.O.A.T. He does it himself. Listen and decide for yourself if the reasons are enough to crown him.
The debate over who deserves the title of the Olympia Men's Physique G.O.A.T has intensified, with only a few competitors having a stronger or an equally stronger case than Brandon Hendrickson. A three-time Olympia champion and one of the Men's Physique's most renowned figures, Hendrickson recently shared why he deserves the GOAT status.
"I've been setting trends and changing eras in all of the generations of Men's Physique, if you haven't noticed. There's a Hendrickson squeeze. Now we're showing more legs. Your guys are training legs. They're taking legs more serious. So I've been in every generation of Men's Physique. I've changed the era, which is why I believe I'm the GOAT."
Whether that's true or not is up for debate, but one thing is undeniable: Hendrickson is one of the most influential competitors in the history of Men's Physique. After earning his pro card in 2013, B-Henny quickly rose to the ranks of the Men's Physique division, becoming a favorite.
His muscular look is credited with changing the standards of Men's Physique, which is mostly focused on a "beach body" image. After four years of Jeremy Buendia's rule, the division saw a change in reign in 2018 when Brandon Hendrickson won his first title. But his reign was halted the very next year by Raymont Edmonds.
Hendrickson was determined to reclaim his title, and that is exactly what happened; he came back stronger and won consecutive titles in 2020 and 2021. Besides his three Olympia titles, Hendrickson also has two Arnold Classic titles, won in 2016 and more recently in 2026.
In fact, before this year's Arnold Classic, he sent a warning to all his opponents.
Brandon Hendrickson’s Message for His Competitors
Right before the 2026 Arnold Classic, the 38-year-old was so confident in his win that he sent a message to all the competitors, as shared by BTSTV via Instagram. The message basically meant that he was going to push harder to win the Arnold so that he could secure his 4th Olympia win later.
“NOBODIES OUTWORKING ME. THESE LAST 12 DAYS MY TIMING WITH WATER WILL BE BETTER. I’M GOING TO DRINK MORE WATER. I’M GOING TO HAVE MORE PEACE. I’M GOING TO TRAIN WITH MORE INTENSITY AND PURPOSE”.
He also added that to accomplish his goal, he would focus on his meals, rest, and recovery, and would make sure that his posing game is on point.
