Why Hany Rambod recommends creatine for women

Hany Rambod is one of the bodybuilding coaches who rarely agrees on supplements. But the OG coach has advocated for creatine pretty vocally.

The 25-time Olympia- winning coach behind champions like Chris Bumstead, Phil Heath, and Derek Lunsford spoke about the topic in a YouTube video posted July 14, 2026

"Women who don't want to worry about doing DHEA precursors or hormones, or any of those things, but they just want to turn around and say, hey, I want something that is going to make me stronger — it does help with muscle torque as well,"

His message was blunt: creatine isn't just for men wanting to look big and build muscle; it's arguably the most well-researched yet underrated supplement for women.

“For size, honestly, there is no second fiddle to creatine. Again, some people don’t feel, oh, creatine, it’s just water weight, or I’m scared of it. It’s really, really good, especially for women,” said Rambod as in a YouTube video, as published by Fitness Volt.

Rambod debunked the myths of women hesitating to take creatine because of hormonal effects and water retention myths surrounding the supplement.

He framed creatine as a straightforward performance tool rather than anything requiring caution.
