Dave Bautista’s favorite cheat meal isn't what you'd expect. The actor, who is allergic to dairy, revealed his surprising pick to Jason Momoa.
While the duo was promoting their new action-packed movie, The Wrecking Crew, Bautista explained:
“New York-style pizza, with that super doughy, gluten-filled crust baked just right with extra, extra sauce and extra, just like a sausage,” said Bautista in his conversation with Momoa in GOAT Talk.
The answer was even more surprising because Bautista is allergic to dairy, having stopped consuming it back in 2005. A few years later, she stopped having red meat and pork.
Hearing the answer, ‘Aquaman’ looked stunned, not expecting the former WWE star’s pizza obsession; when Jason Momoa suggested pasta might win, Bautista doubled down, “Especially as someone who doesn’t really hasn’t eaten real pizza in over, God, I don’t know… 20 years.
But Bautista doesn't go back to his cheat meal. In fact, the former WWE star is so locked in on his nutrition that he even lost 75 pounds within months. How? Let’s have a look.
Dave Bautista Gives Secrets of His Weight-Loss Journey
Back in 2024, during an interview with journalist Chris Van Vliet, Bautista revealed that to slim down like his fellow Hollywood stars, he significantly reduced his caloric intake. "For me, it's like nothing," he laughed. "I'm just not eating much. And I'm not starving or anything."
He consumed 2,500 calories daily. Back in 2011, before the “Knock at the Cabin” weight gain, Bautista told Men’s Health, “But I do have fish a couple of times a week, and I do eat eggs... Then, in between those (on-set) meals, if I get hungry, I typically do an almond butter and banana or a vegan, gluten-free grilled cheese, it's my favorite go-to."
Well, his weight-loss journey certainly worked out well for him, as he now looks in shape alongside his co-workers rather than big like a wrestler.
