WWE Legend Paul Wight Shares 60-Minute Cardio Routine That Burns Up to 1,200 Calories

The WWE legend, Paul Wight, ring name The Big Show, may have hung up his boots years ago. But he still delves into a unique type of cardio session that he mentioned burns 1200 calories in just an hour.

On July 9, Wight provided his followers with a glimpse of his uncanny method of burning calories and boosting his cardio through an Instagram update. It showed that Wight doesn't even need to visit the gym to perform this exercise.

The two-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion simply carries a cylindrical container on his shoulder over a certain distance, holding its straps on his chest. His caption detailed the benefits of this workout, stating, "This is one of my cardio routines. Onward and upward. I do this for 60 minutes. Usually burn right at 1000-1200 calories. Lots of fuel to keep this truck going."

Besides his ring name, The Big Show, Wight also carried the moniker of the 'World's Largest Athlete' during his time in the WWE. The aforementioned Instagram update displayed that he still holds that athlete mentality despite leaving his WWE days behind.

Well, Wight's massive stature also played a significant role in justifying his moniker. But not many fans know what it took him to maintain such a monstrous physique.

So let's learn more about how Wight's diet helped him maintain such an intimidating physique.

What does Paul Wight's diet look like?

Wight opened up about his diet during his appearance at a TalkSport show in 2023. While the former WWE star admitted that he had cut down the amount of food intake due to aging, he also confessed that he went for a staggering 13000 to 18000-calorie diet when he was younger.

Wight said, "I'd probably [consume] somewhere [between] 13,000 and 18,000 calories a day." However, with increasing age, he came to realize that he couldn't continue this diet, as it contained a lot of "empty bad calories."

The Big Show went into further details of his "bad calorie" diet, saying, "You'd get Big Macs, and I'd get three or four Big Macs, and then I'd get fries, and then I'd get a shake, and I'd get apple pies and probably a fifth sandwich too."

Wight also called tacos a significant part of his then-diet. "It was nothing. I'd go to Taco Bell and get like 20 tacos." However, talking about his cut down, Wight mentioned, "I eat about ten ounces of protein, I have a small portion of carbs and some veg. I try to eat halfway decent."

So, after learning how even Wight had to reduce his bad calorie intake with increasing age, which foodstuffs do you think you should cut down upon?
