YouTuber Tries Brock Lesnar’s Carnivore Diet and Shares Results
The former WWE and UFC star, Brock Lesnar, is among the many athletes who have followed a carnivore diet. But what happens when a YouTuber starts maintaining the same diet? Well, to say the least, the results weren't undesirable.
On June 9, the fitness influencer, Aseel Soueid, tried out Lesnar's carnivore diet and displayed the results through an Instagram post. The caption to it presented the exact details of 'The Beast Incarnate's' carnivore diet.
Besides mentioning that the diet contained just "8 g" of carbohydrates, it also disclosed the ingredients for Lesnar's meals. They are as follows:
- Meal 1: Steak and Eggs
- Meal 2: Ground beef and cheddar cheese
- Meal 3: Chicken drumsticks
- Meal 4: Ribeye steaks
- Meal 5: Eggs and bacon
- Meal 6: Beef jerky
In the end, Soueid hilariously mentioned, "You deserve to be an ox if you can stick to this every day," despite oxes being pure herbivores.
At the end of the video, Soueid also specified the macronutrient measures and calorie count of Lesnar's carnivore diet. While the 48-year-old's diet amounts to a staggering 3,710 calories, here's what the specifications of the diet's macronutrients look like:
- Fat: 228 gms
- Proteins: 378 gms
- Carbohydrates: 8 gms
Soueid's other Instagram posts displayed that he already had a fit physique with a visible six-pack, sizable biceps, and a well-toned midriff. However, a comparison between his previous build and the after-carnivore diet physique showcased that his muscle mass had increased, making him look a bit bigger.
However, given the significantly high amount of fat in Lesnar's diet, looking muscular wouldn't be possible without a proper workout regimen. Lesnar was well aware of this and hence followed a strict exercise routine.
Brock Lesnar's workout routine to complement his carnivore diet
For most of his career, Lesnar was associated with combat sports and wrestling, which require a strict training regimen. And in turn, his training routine made sure that the calories in his carnivore diet were used appropriately, instead of making him fat.
According to Muscle And Strength, Lesnar used to follow a 4-day-a-week training regimen. Here's a summary of the parts he focused on each day and the exercises he did to condition them:
