Ronnie Coleman Shares His Cardio Routine Alongside Heavy Workouts During His Prime Years

If you are an aspiring bodybuilder, then there is no one better to follow than the great Ronnie Coleman. Here is a glimpse of his cardio routine from his prime years that you must note down.

Eight-time Mr. Olympia Ronnie Coleman often shares clips from his prime years, and his latest one is one to look for. In the video, Coleman shared a montage of his different workouts, which included movements like light treadmill work, followed by the dumbbell bench press, barbell bench press, and overhead tricep extension.

The video came with the caption, "I used to start every day with an hour of cardio on the treadmill. Then I’d head straight to work, put in a full day, and still hit the gym at night to train! Ain’t nobody going to outwork me! That’s how you build greatness, one rep and one day at a time….Yeah, Buddy."

The video also showed a glimpse of his monstrous diet. He was seen eating a big plate of potatoes (that looked like French fries) with some kind of sauce. The clip also showed the beast keeping himself hydrated through intense workouts.

If you were impressed by this one video, then you should definitely check out his Instagram profile. Just a few days ago, the King shared another blast from the past. The video was from Metroflx Gym, where he was dressed in all red and was performing the barbell curls.

These clips are just a small portion of what the monster was capable of, and are proof that greatness doesn't come easily; you need to work hard.

His workouts have become a benchmark among bodybuilders who have followed after him. And the astonishing part is that these workouts aren't even his best, which came in 2000.

How Ronnie Coleman created the bench press record in bodybuilding

During his prime, Coleman comfortably lifted incredible amounts of weight without breaking a sweat. How else would he be able to build a massive size and unmatched conditioning?

In 2000, Coleman released a training DVD of himself, called Unbelievable, which was shot five weeks before the Olympia competition. In the video, he performs some of his best lifts, including the raw, flat bench press of 495 lbs.

But the best was yet to come. In the same training video, he performed two raw pulls for two reps of an 800 lbs deadlift.

And even after retirement, Coleman has continued to train and pull off some incredible feats. At 62 years old, he performed a perfect barbell shrug with 735 lbs.
